Working with Pfizer's dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in the management of manufacturing information systems to improve manufacturing success rates and ensuring zero down time.

How You Will Achieve It
- Design and implement Automation and/or Digital solutions to support and optimize Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing operations.
- Maintain and ensure optimum performance and availability of the Automation and Digital systems/applications such as PCS/CMS (Delta-V), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), AMPS, Catalyst (Product Life Cycle Management System), Infrastructure and Cybersecurity and other digital transformation applications / systems used for manufacturing (such as IIoT, Advance Process Control).
- Provide support to ensure successful product manufacturing and projects execution.
- Participate in Process Centric Teams (PCT) in supporting the development of production recipes and devising automation solutions that improve productivity, business operations and safety/quality standards.
- Troubleshoot automation related issues in manufacturing operations. Lead or participate in quality or safety investigations and implement any automation solutions resulting from these investigations
- Actively attain knowledge of process unit operations.
- Participate in periodic alarm review/analysis and derive with solutions to reduce alarms.
- On Call Support for Operation team which includes after office hours support on rotation basis.
- Participate as automation representative in capital projects involving facilities, utilities and equipment.
- Responsible to raise Automation-related change controls in QTS system.
- Responsible to raise Automation-related incidents, events and QARs, and/or support cross functions in the investigation.
- Author or update existing Automation SOPs and/or system design documentation as part of periodic review.
- Ensure seamless data flow through all interfaces and hierarchies of system connectivity, within control system, and between other systems.
- Provide support and be subject SME in Audit.
- Lead any FAT / SAT tests as required.
- Validate new PCS systems and changes to existing systems.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance of Automation systems as scheduled.
- Identify and address issues at recipe level as well as 3rd party interfaces with Automation systems.
- Actively contribute to the building and leveraging of knowledge base within the automation team.
- Team player with proven performance records, creative thinking abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Co-ordinate and work with Pfizer Global site Automation team members to investigate and troubleshoot critical issues
- Provide training related to Automation systems to relevant cross function departments!
- Customer-focused, positive attitude and a demonstrated passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with Vendors for troubleshooting of fundamental application software/architecture level issues
- Participate and actively support Digital for PGS initiatives involving system integrations, data connectivity, validation methods and value-based optimization of manufacturing via process control system

Qualifications
Must-Have
- 4-7 years of experience in Process Automation, preferably in a batch manufacturing environment; Extensive knowledge and experience in process automation system, preferably in Emerson DeltaV
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with writing software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents
- Experience on Automation Compliance projects
- Familiar with process controls equipment
- Strong knowledge of Computerized Systems, Compliance regulations and standards
- Teamwork spirit, good communication skills and training abilities
- Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills written and oral
Nice-to-Have
- Master's degree
- Relevant pharmaceutical experience
- Understanding of programming, and proficiency in at least one language
