At Zenika, we consider the following to be essential for a skilled SeniorJava Back End Developer:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in Java, Hibernate or Spring
- Mastery of Java 8 and knowledge of newer versions
- Strong experience in developing Java back-end applications, including Restful APIs, Web apps, and batches using JEE or Spring
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and working with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
- Openness to using NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Neo4j) based on business constraints
- Good knowledge of back-end middleware, such as databases or messaging platforms, and ability to interact with them
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Fundamental knowledge of design and architecture patterns
- Experience in designing solutions with focus on performance, security, maintainability, and scalability
As a Senior Java Back End Developer with us, you may be assigned to:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and maintain back-end applications and APIs
- Build and maintain scalable, high-performance, and secure web applications using Java and related technologies
- Write clean, modular, and testable code that adheres to coding standards and best practices
- Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, and queries for data storage and retrieval
- Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability through proper design, development, and testing
- Troubleshoot and debug application issues, and identify and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in back-end development and make recommendations for improvements to our development process
