The Senior BIM Designer will create and manage digital models of building structures and systems using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to workcollaboratively and with minor supervision from engineers/coordinators.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Lead modeling efforts on projects working with BIM designers to complete deliverables for each discipline.
- Setup of Revit views for use by the Project team including electronic document filing and all other facets of the electronic drawings and/or model
- Develop constituent parts of the information model in connection with specific task
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure model accuracy and completeness
- Production of project output and ownership of model information
- Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle
- Implement BIM standards, processes, and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Train and mentor junior BIM Modeler to ensure they are equipped to handle complex projects.
- Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.
Skills & Requirements
- Education: Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Information Technology or relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM modelling and Coordination work.
- Proficient in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction and building materials is a plus.
- Strong communication and leadership skills
