What the day will look like
Responsible for placement of marine treaty business independently and/or with team members.
Pre / post renewal preparations: risk analysis, contacting reinsurers, negotiations and completing renewal process.
Build on knowledge of reinsurance market, marine knowledge and build on network of reinsurance contacts to arrange suitable reinsurance policies and arrange/tender cover.
Work on team projects and initiatives.
Act in the interest of the Clients.
To be involved in providing professional advice to Clients and the ceding office.
Work with respective Relationship Manager and other Brokers / teams for renewals / RFPs.
Formulate renewal strategy and offer technical advice where needed.
Organising and coordinate market events to promote Aon Reinsurance Solutions Marine Treaty brand.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
At least 3 years of Marine insurance / reinsurance experience either in broking or underwriting or claims
Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently, within a team, as well as across multiple functions and departments
Outgoing and service-oriented with good networking and relationship building skills
Analytical, meticulous and pro-active
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
