Job Description

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Singapore

The Opportunity:


We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior Business Analyst with experience in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate is a positive problem solver who is obsessed with customer experience, serving as a liaison between the Business and IT teams, providing solutions to their business system needs. The Senior Business Analyst will demonstrate a deep understanding of customers objectives, processes, and products, as well as the capabilities of our business systems. They will be responsible for formulating, defining, and documenting solutions that align with Zurich APAC's core values. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst should possess proficiency in writing user stories and epics, and be flexible enough to perform Product Owner duties as needed. The successful candidate will be an excellent executer, willing to get their hands dirty and take on both leadership and execution responsibilities while delivering results through Agile methodology.

Key Responsibilities:


Act as a liaison between the Business and IT departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Understand customers objectives, processes, and products to effectively identify and address their business system needs.
Formulate, define, and document solutions that align with Zurich APAC's core values, utilizing knowledge of business systems capabilities.
Write user stories and epics to accurately capture business requirements and facilitate agile development.
Be flexible in stepping up to perform Product Owner duties and stepping down to Business Analyst duties, as required.
Take ownership of projects and initiatives, driving them to successful completion.
Lead and contribute to the Agile team, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, conduct analysis, and provide recommendations.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of solutions, ensuring they meet the defined requirements and quality standards.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in business analysis, insurance, and Agile methodologies.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

A professional certification in Agile methodologies
Demonstrated experience working in agile project methodologies, with the ability to guide and support business and technology teams
Advanced understanding of the business analysis domain and knowledge of tools, methods and communication techniques to extract, develop, validate and document business requirements.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry.
Strong understanding of insurance industry processes, products, and systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Proficiency in writing user stories and epics, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in delivering projects using Agile practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results.
Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
