Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a SharePoint Business Analyst, you will be a key player in bridging the gap between business needs and SharePoint solutions. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in both business analysis and SharePoint, with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint-related projects.
Responsibilities
. Serve as the subject matter expert for SharePoint within the organization.
. Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements related to SharePoint solutionsthrough interviews, surveys, workshops, and documentation analysis.
. Conduct thorough business process analysis and propose improvements leveraging SharePoint capabilities.
. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of SharePoint architecture, features, and functionalities.
. Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing SharePoint solutions to align with business goals.
. Work closely with technical teams and architects to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and SharePoint solutions.
. Leverage SharePoint to address business challenges and enhance operational efficiency.
. Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline workflows and enhance collaboration using SharePoint.
. Analyze and interpret data to derive actionable insights for business decision-making within the SharePoint context.
. Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into software requirement specification.
. Collaborate with testing teams to define UAT scenarios and supporting end user in testing activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, process flowcharts, and user manuals.
. Stay abreast of the latest SharePoint technologies, trends, and best practices, and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on SharePoint-related projects (minimum 4 years with SharePoint project).
. Certification: Possess relevant certifications, such as: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent SharePoint-related certifications demonstrating proficiency in SharePoint technologies.
. Communication: Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.
. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams towards successful project outcomes.
. Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address business challenges through SharePoint solutions.
. Work experience in a global environment.
. A commitment to staying updated with the latest SharePoint technologies, business analysis methodologies, and industry best practices.
Technical Skills
. Knowledge of SharePoint capabilities, configuration, administration and its out-of-the-box features.
. Ability to align SharePoint solutions with overall business goals and objectives.
. Knowledge of SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server on-premises versions, including SharePoint Server Subscription Edition, SharePoint Server 2019 and earlier versions (2010, 2013, 2016).
. Understanding of SharePoint components, such as site collections, libraries, lists, and content types. Ability to create and modify master pages, page layouts, and custom workflows.
. Experience in designing and implementing workflows using tools such as SharePoint Designer and Power Automate (Flow).
. Ability to automate business processes and streamline workflows within SharePoint.
. Experience in business process modelingand data modeling, analysis within the context of SharePoint solutions, including the design of lists, content types, and metadata structures.
. Understanding of UX principles to ensure SharePoint solutions are user-friendly and intuitive.
. Experience in SharePoint migration projects, including planning and executing migrations between SharePoint versions.
. Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Figma or related prototyping tools is a plus.
. Proficiency in basic office applications used for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, charts, diagrams, and emailsuch as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio.
. Experience in change management processes related to SharePoint implementations.
. Familiarity with project management methodologies and the ability to work within project timelines and constraints.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business processes and data sets.
. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
. Knowledge of SharePoint security models and best practices.
. Experience in conducting user training sessions for SharePoint solutions, ensuring end-users can effectively utilize the platform.
. Experience in Agile Scrum. Ability to negotiate trade-offs between conflicting priorities, balancing scope, time, and resources.
. Skill in creating, prioritizing, and maintaining a well-defined product backlog with user stories, features, and enhancements.
. Ability to write clear, concise, and actionable user stories that effectively communicate requirements to the development team.
. Capability to prioritize items in the product backlog based on business value, customer feedback, and strategic goals.
. Experience in release planning, understanding how to plan and sequence features for delivery in iterative releases.
