Job Overview:
We seek an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) with a deep understanding of energy management solutions tailored to multi-site retail and commercial clients. This role is critical in driving the adoption of EnOS-based solutions such as energy monitoring, carbon tracking, and EV charging (EnOS Charge), helping large retail brands and commercial real estate clients improve energy efficiency and optimize their operations.
As a leader in this space, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and Customer Success teams to deliver scalable, product-driven solutions that meet the specific needs of multi-site retail environments. This position requires expertise in digital transformation, energy efficiency technologies, and integrating customer experience improvements with sustainable energy solutions.
You will play a key role in growing key accounts with global retail and commercial real estate brands, ensuring their transition from bespoke solutions to scalable, off-the-shelf product offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product-Focused Solution Development: Partner with internal teams to ensure existing energy intelligence products meet the unique needs of multi-site retail and commercial clients. You will work with product managers to continually refine offerings such as carbon tracking and energy monitoring tools, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
- Consultative Product Sales: Lead consultative engagements with clients, driving conversations towards standardized product solutions. Use your deep understanding of energy efficiency and customer experience technology to position these products as key tools in the client's digital transformation journey.
- Client & Ecosystem Partnership Growth: Establish and strengthen relationships with global retail brands, commercial real estate stakeholders, and facility managers. You will focus on identifying opportunities to drive business development and expand the ecosystem of partners involved in energy intelligence solutions.
- Tender & Proposal Management: Lead the preparation and submission of product-driven proposals for key clients and respond to tender opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of product solutions.
- Customer Relationships & Post-Sale Support: Work closely with the Customer Success and Account Management teams to ensure a smooth transition post-sale, optimize product adoption, and ensure long-term client satisfaction.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 10+ years of sales or business development experience, ideally within the energy management, IoT, or digital transformation sectors. Prior experience working with multi-site retail and commercial real estate clients is highly desirable.
- Sales Acumen: Proven experience in consultative product sales, with a track record of successfully transitioning clients from bespoke, project-based solutions to standardized, scalable product offerings.
- Collaborative Leadership: A team player who excels in working cross-functionally with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and Customer Success teams to deliver product-driven solutions tailored to client needs.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders at global retail and commercial clients. You can articulate complex product offerings clearly and compellingly.
Technical Knowledge:
- Comprehensive Expertise in Energy Management Systems: Proficient in implementing and managing energy monitoring systems that ensure real-time visibility and control over energy usage, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency and sustainability goals.
- IoT Platforms for Smart Infrastructure: Skilled in deploying IoT platforms to facilitate real-time data collection, monitoring, and automation, driving connectivity across smart infrastructure and enabling precise control of energy resources.
- Cloud and Edge Computing Solutions: Deep experience with cloud-based platforms and edge computing solutions to enable scalable, flexible infrastructure for energy management, ensuring that data is processed efficiently at both central and localized levels.
- Smart HVAC and Building Automation: Expertise in smart HVAC optimization, utilizing AI-driven technologies to improve energy efficiency, optimize indoor air quality, and reduce operational costs in smart buildings and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Predictive Maintenance & AI-Powered Analytics: Proven ability to implement predictive maintenance technologies powered by AI-driven predictive analytics, identifying potential failures before they occur and optimizing energy consumption across industrial assets and infrastructure.
- Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance: Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks and regulatory requirements such as GHG Protocol and CDP reporting, ensuring that all energy management practices comply with international sustainability standards and drive toward net-zero goals.

- Industry Knowledge: Deep expertise in energy management solutions, carbon tracking, and IoT integration for the retail and commercial real estate sectors. Familiarity with smart city initiatives and digital transformation strategies is highly valued.
- Client Network: Experience working with global retail brands and large commercial real estate portfolios. Proven success in developing relationships with multi-site clients across regions.
