What the role is
Enterprise Singapore's (EnterpriseSG) Corporate Communications Division plays an important role in shaping the perception of the organisation as the lead agency that grows strong enterprises, develops Singapore as a leading global trading hub, and builds trust in Singapore enterprises, products and services through quality and standards.
As part of the Corporate Communications Division, the Media Relations team works with all divisions in the organisation to develop and put out corporate-level and division-specific messages via content in media outlets. Our end objective is to position EnterpriseSG as a thought leader in our fields of expertise and that we are a partner for enterprises looking to build capabilities for transformation and expand abroad.
What you will be working on
As a media relations officer, you will develop and implement communications plans for specific markets, industries or programmes. You will need to plan and innovatively engage the target audience on multiple media channels (both local and international) through efforts such as story pitching, media releases and more. The goal is to understand and present the key messages and initiatives in a clear, convincing and timely manner as well as cultivate key stakeholders as advocates who can reinforce or amplify our narrative via media channels. You will also work with the marcomms and digital & content teams to synergise efforts and achieve maximum publicity. This is especially important given the wide scope of EnterpriseSG's work. The workscope may also include crisis communications.
As the media landscape is constantly evolving, this role requires lateral thinking and a good grasp of global/local trends and issues, in order to align EnterpriseSG's comms strategy with these changes.
What we are looking for
You should have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in Corporate Communications or Public Relations. You should be experienced in corporate messaging, developing communication plans, and possess a creative mind for story angles as well as excellent writing and media pitching skills. You will also need to be results-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful, as well as be a team player. Ability to speak and write in Mandarin or Malay is advantageous.
If you are shortlisted for the position, you may be required to take part in a preliminary online interview and written assessment. Successful candidates will be shortlisted for further interview.
