Job Summary:


The Senior Clinical Marketing/Application Specialist is responsible for delivering advanced clinical and technical support for Terumo BCT products, including customer training and on-site support. This role involves collaborating with marketing and sales teams to develop and implement clinical marketing strategies, conducting product demonstrations, training healthcare professionals, and ensuring optimal product usage. The specialist will also gather and analyze clinical data to support product development and marketing initiatives and provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support as a subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Support and Training:

Achieve product training certification for all Terumo BCT products (inclusive of Optia and Trima) to support territory needs.
Execute effective transfer of knowledge to customers during on-site and virtual training sessions.
Train and certify field associates and distributors, providing clinical or application training support.
Provide expert clinical support and guidance to healthcare professionals on the use of Terumo BCT products.
Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions for customers and internal teams.
Assist in the resolution of clinical issues and troubleshoot product-related problems in the field.
Provide phone support to customers during and after hours, including weekend on-call support.

Marketing Collaboration and Application Expertise:

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement clinical marketing strategies and campaigns.
Serve as the subject matter expert on Terumo BCT products, including blood component technology, cell therapy systems, and therapeutic apheresis.
Keep abreast of the latest clinical practices, guidelines, and advancements in relevant medical fields.
Provide input on product development and improvement based on clinical feedback and market needs.
Participate in the creation of marketing materials, including clinical guidelines, case studies, and white papers.
Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and events to promote Terumo BCT products and gather market insights.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Collect and analyze clinical data to evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare and present detailed reports on clinical outcomes, market trends, and customer feedback.
Use clinical data to support regulatory submissions and marketing claims.
Perform ongoing market assessment of customers technical needs and problems.
Analyze therapy trends in the marketplace and communicate findings to necessary departments.
Provide detailed account feedback to Account Managers and make recommendations to improve customer satisfaction.

Customer Interaction and Problem Solving:

Identify and solve complex and/or unusual customer problems.
Document all customer interactions in Salesforce.com and provide written solutions to recurring problems.
Efficiently handle customer complaints and concerns, providing timely feedback.
Interact as a field expert with other functional areas of Terumo BCT to develop a thorough exchange of planning and information.
Transfer knowledge of therapeutic apheresis and blood component segment clinical needs and processes to other areas of the company, i.e., sales, marketing, and R&D departments.
Support field sales initiatives by solving complex or unusual clinical and application problems.
Travel and support sites outside of allocated territory when required.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant application or clinical experience, with a focus on blood management, cell therapy, or therapeutic apheresis.
Minimum of 5 years of successful clinical support or relevant experience in a field sales or marketing environment.
Experience working in a matrix environment and interacting with different stakeholders.

Skills:

Strong clinical background with hands-on experience using Terumo BCT products or similar technologies.
Strong technical/clinical acumen for advanced problem solving.
Demonstrated expertise in product and therapy knowledge.
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers, physicians, nurses, and other technical medical staff.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex clinical information to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability and desire to teach, including designing and developing training programs and documentation.
Effective leadership skills.
Knowledge and use of relevant PC and CRM software applications.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid industry-relevant certifications.

Physical Requirements:


Willingness to travel extensively within the SEA region (up to 70% travel required).
Typical home office environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting and occasional lifting.
