Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance
- Quality Assurance Plan -Overview of QMS.
- Leads, directs a team of Engineers for routine task of QA surveillance, onsite inspection /test and documentation.
- Establish Acceptance Test plan as per CTS & Class.
- Establish FAT plan and review of FAT Supplier's Protocols
- Review and advise the development of HAT test protocols according to the Approved ATP.
- Review of Internal Test records
- Review of Platform Acceptance Test protocols
- Update the status report on FAT, HAT & PAT in the progress meeting
- Manage the deliverable documents
Commissioning of Shipboard Machinery System/Electrical & Automation System and Equipment
- Leads, directs and supervise a team of engineers in preparation of commissioning of shipboard equipment's ensuring the entire responsibility for the completion on schedule in accordance to the protocols.
- Establish and continuous monitoring of Commissioning/ HAT Plan, based on master project schedule.
- Manage resource planning and technical advice for the QA commissioning Team.
- Manage work safety, assigned jobs, risk assessment and productivity of the Commission Team and manage the commissioning job scope with supplier/ OEM within budgeted Man Hours
- Oversees and ensures all construction activities are completed prior to taking up the system for commissioning.
- Prepares manpower organization to fulfill the commissioning schedule. At times to coordinate with other departments to resolve interface problems
- Deploy and assign jobs and expectation to his engineers and supervisors
- Holds regular meetings with the team and other departments in the commissioning progress/issues affecting the test as well as meetings with the vendors to resolve any equipment related problems.
- Set productivity targets for his team, assess, identify and manage training needs for his team
- Plan department man power projections, and manage shortfall or excess resources.
- Manage departmental improvement and processes to improve quality of work.
- Manage & Monitor departmental safety work plan and review departmental BBS and hazard reporting program.
- Manage E-Ops Team for Sea Trial
- Perform safety audits on departmental safety practices and employees.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Marine, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Minimum 7 to 10 years relevant experience in marine related industry
- Track record of managing a team of engineers and workers
- Knowledge of Class requirements and Quality Standards
- Good knowledge and onboard exposure for ship and machinery system/electrical & automation system operation and upkeep
- Experience in managing marine system/electrical & automation system engineering commissioning and services support department
- Possess Shipboard & Sea Going/Sea Trial Experience
- Resourceful and able to adapt to changes on short notice
- Ability to continuously review current jobs and inject new ideas to improve work methods
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to work onboard vessels and at heights

- 5 days work week
- Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm
