Maintain and execute the compliance programs of the company as compliance project manager
Monitor the applicable laws, stay on top of the dynamic laws and regulations and make changes to the system as and when required
Safeguard and secure the data of the company and ensure that it is kept private
Collaborate and work alongside SEA Head of Legal to develop policies that adhere to the laws and regulations
Liaise with stakeholders and other senior executives to develop new company-wide policies
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Law Degree from an established and reputable university is preferred
Solid general legal background, with 6-8 years of relevant commercial legal and privacy experience in a reputable law firm and/or in-house for a multinational organization
Desire to work as a partner to the business with an aptitude to finding pragmatic solutions to challenges within the privacy field
Commercially-savvy and have a practical approach to the practice of law
Excellent organizational skills with attention to details, and an ability to work well under pressure
Excellent self-management skill with minimal supervision and manage time effectively and judiciously to meet deadlines, recognizing priorities, and deal effectively with the competing interests of different stakeholders/departments, and able to assess and balance legal risks against business interest
Ability to work as part of a team and to think outside of the box to solve complex problems
Business oriented commercial mindset with a flexible, practical problem-solving approach
Good command of English and Mandarin Chinese (both written and oral) as working language to cooperate with international stakeholders and stakeholders who are based in China HQ
