Key Responsibilities
- Database Monitoring & Management:Monitor database storage, utilization, and growth.
Identify and resolve performance or capacity issues and provide recommendations.
Conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal database health.
- User Management:Manage user accounts, access rights, roles, and profiles.
- Backup & Recovery:Plan, perform, and validate database backups.
Conduct annual restoration exercises.
- Database Operations:Deploy database scripts and manage objects.
Perform reorganizations, upgrades, and patch management.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting:Monitor alerts and logs perform first-level troubleshooting when required.
- Documentation & Compliance:Document and maintain SOPs and administration guides.
Conduct disaster recovery tests as per customer requirements.
Requirements
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficiency in Azure and AWS RDS, MSSQL, and Oracle databases.
Experience:
- 5+ years in MSSQL administration.
- 3+ years in Oracle Database administration.
- 3+ years of exposure to Azure and AWS RDS databases.
Certifications:
- MSSQL: Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (SQL Database Administration).
- Oracle: Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional.
