Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Data Analyst to join our forward-thinking team. This role demands expertise in sophisticated data modelling, advanced statistical analysis, and machine learning, alongside strong proficiency in SQL and databases such as MySQL or Greenplum (GP).

As a Data Analyst, you will drive impactful business decisions by designing and implementing complex data models and machine learning algorithms. You will be expected to extract actionable insights from large and intricate datasets, develop predictive models, and deliver strategic recommendations through advanced reporting and visualizations. This position requires a high level of technical acumen, creativity in data analysis, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to drive innovation and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis:

o Extract, clean, and analyse large and complex datasets using SQL and advanced analytical techniques.

o Develop and implement sophisticated data models and machine learning algorithms to solve business challenges and forecast trends.

o Apply statistical methods and data mining techniques to uncover insights and identify patterns in diverse datasets.

Reporting:

o Create and maintain comprehensive reports and interactive dashboards that convey data insights and support strategic decision-making.

o Develop advanced visualizations to effectively communicate complex data findings to stakeholders at all levels.

o Ensure high accuracy and relevance of reporting outputs, with a focus on delivering actionable intelligence.

Collaboration:

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and marketing, to understand their analytical needs and provide data-driven solutions.

o Offer expert advice on data-related issues and best practices, contributing to the development and execution of data-driven strategies.

o Present complex data insights in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Continuous Improvement:

o Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in data

analytics and machine learning.

o Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement innovative solutions to advance data reporting and analytical capabilities.

o Advocate for the adoption of new tools and methodologies to improve data analysis and decision-making processes.

Qualifications

Education:

o Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in data analytics or machine learning are highly desirable.

Experience:

o Proven experience in advanced data extraction, transformation, and

analysis with databases such as MySQL or Greenplum (GP).

o Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing complex data models, statistical methods, and machine learning algorithms.

o Experience in creating and managing detailed reports and dashboards using data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

o Track record of managing large datasets and delivering high- quality insights under tight deadlines.

Skills:

o Advanced SQL skills and deep knowledge of database

management.

o Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, data modelling, and machine learning techniques.

o Expertise in data visualization and reporting, with a solid understanding of analytical frameworks and methodologies.
