Senior Data Analyst - Customer Profiling & Segmentation

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with experience in customer profiling, segmentation, data extraction for business operations, and promotion analysis. This role will be responsible for analyzing customer data to support personalized marketing initiatives, optimize promotional strategies, and enhance customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, experience with SQL, and an understanding of customer behavior in the credit card industry.

Responsibilities

1. Customer Profiling and Segmentation

  • Develop and maintain customer profiles by analyzing behavioral, demographic, and transactional data.
  • Identify and create customer segments to support targeted marketing, retention, and engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to define and refine segmentation criteria to ensure accurate and actionable insights.

2. Data Extraction for Operational Support

  • Perform data extraction using SQL or other query tools to support various business needs, including customer insights, campaign analysis, and business reporting.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all extracted datasets and analyses.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests from cross-functional teams as needed.

3. Promotions and Campaign Analysis

  • Analyze the performance of promotional campaigns and provide insights to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Measure the effectiveness of campaigns and promotions across different customer segments, providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with marketing to test new promotional ideas and measure their impact on customer engagement and retention.

4. Customer Insights and Reporting

  • Create and deliver regular reports on customer behavior, engagement trends, and segment performance.
  • Use data visualization tools to present findings and recommendations in a clear and actionable format for business stakeholders.
  • Identify trends and opportunities within customer data to improve product offerings and customer experience.

5. Continuous Improvement and Automation

  • Seek opportunities to improve and automate data processes, reporting, and analytics workflows.
  • Develop and enhance dashboards and analytical tools to streamline data access and support decision-making.
  • Stay current with industry trends in data analytics and customer segmentation within the credit card sector.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the financial or credit card industry.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Understanding of credit card operations and financial transaction data.
  • Experience with statistical tools (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
