The Senior Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing projects within our EPC company, specializing in controlled environment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, project management methodologies, and the ability to provide technical leadership and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Project coordination including submission to local authorities and liaison during the construction stage
- Highlight and advise the project staff on the interfacing of mechanical and electrical services and the building works
- Attend to technical clarifications as and when required to address technical issues and establish method statements
- Ability to review the works of the engineers assigned, with the objective of compliance to local authority requirements coupled with sound engineering principals
- Implement quality assurance measures and processes.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems are operational and meet performance requirements.
- Prepare operational and maintenance manuals and as-built drawing for project handover.
Technical Leadership
- Prepare and provide technical guidance and support to site execution teams, including Architectural/MEP design, calculations, and system selection.
- Ensure adherence to design specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare/review/approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners.
- Present project updates for individual trades and progress reports to stakeholders.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure project compliance.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor engineers, providing guidance and support.
- Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative team culture.
Qualifications and Skill
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the controlled environment construction industry.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, design principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
