DESIGNATION : Senior / Engineer, Broadcast Engineering - IP
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior / Engineer will be providing technical services to support the design, implementation, and ongoing support of IP-based media solutions within the broadcast infrastructure. Ensuring successful integration, maintenance & support of IP technologies for the production, management, and distribution of media content in the broadcast environment.
The role involves assisting of projects execution that involve multiple stakeholders and vendors. The individual contributes to the upkeep of IP-based media broadcast systems and infrastructure, doing preventive maintenance for broadcast-related equipment and infrastructure. The individual should be able to perform the plans, demonstrating the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and engage with various stakeholders. Collaborating with diverse teams to implement and maintain the broadcast media production workflow.
Responsibilities
Assist with the implementation of IP-based media systems, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and adherence to industry standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IP technologies into existing and/or new broadcast systems & infrastructure
Perform cyber security management within the broadcast network in accordance with organisation policies
Assist with integrating IP-based solutions for media production, including video-over-IP, audio-over-IP and associated control protocols
Testing of system to validate the performance, reliability, and quality of broadcast systems
Adapting and migrating from traditional broadcast systems to IP-based solution. Minimising downtime and disruptions
Troubleshoot faults and implement solutions to minimise downtime
Perform repairs on broadcast system & equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma/Degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering or Information Engineering & Media or Computer Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the media industries
Hands-on Engineer with interest in broadcast engineering
Knowledge in IT computer networking and cybersecurity
Analytical and troubleshooting skill to support broadcast IT systems
Proficient in written and communication skills
A team player who is able to work independently and is prepared to perform shift duties, late night works and standby support for key events
Candidate without required years of experience can be considered for a junior position
