To review customers design and documents (CAD data, drawings, specifications, etc.) for better manufacturability and to provide proposals/feedback or seek clarifications from customers.
Perform process planning, generate part arrangement, Cam editing instructions and production documents for manufacturing processes.
Liaise with Cam section on generation of soft toolings to support production.
Liaise with tooling vendors on fabrication of hard toolings.
Perform initial DFM review prior to confirmation of customer's design or order.
Work with Material Planners and Purchasing on the processing and material positioning for the product.
To monitor and follow-up on production feedback via Engineering Change Request and to take the appropriate actions to implement upon appropriate approval process.
To handle customer inquires/problem solving matters on engineering related issues.
To maintain proper documentation and filing of parts tooled or reviewed.
Support company's continuous productivity and quality improvements (e.g. panelization utilization improvements, process flow simplification, update department checklist/guides, etc.).
To conduct technical training to relevant staff as and when necessary.
Work with Process and Development Engineering Teams on process capabilities, design guidelines and new product developments.
To carry out any other tasks assigned by superior.
Job Requirements:
Min Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering
Familiar with Cam and In-Plan system (Genesis etc)
