Role Description
The Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of integration solutions that ensure seamless communication between various enterprise applications. The specialist will work closely with IT teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand integration requirements, develop integration strategies, and troubleshoot integration issues.
Job Responsibilities
Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle.
Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
Documents, gather business requirements on applications development.
Develop and configure adapters/connectors for various enterprise applications.
Create data transformation mappings and workflows to ensure data consistency and accuracy across systems.
Perform Middleware Management such as:
Administer and maintain middleware platforms and integration tools.
Monitor and optimize the performance of integration solutions.
Ensure the security and scalability of the integration infrastructure
Job Requirements
Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computing, Electrical Engineering or IT or equivalent
Strong understanding of application server concepts and technologies
Knowledge of IBM MQ messaging middleware, including queue managers, channels, and message queuing protocols
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving middleware-related issues in a production environment.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, or PowerShell)
Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Advantageous Experience/Skills/Certificates:
Certifications in Red Hat JBoss, IBM WebSphere, or IBM MQ.
Certifications in relevant integration technologies or platforms (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer)
