What You'll Do
- Undertake development of control system architecture, control philosophy and control logic diagram for chiller plant
- Prepare and review Technical Specification for Instrumentation, Control Valves, Analyzers and Control System.
- Prepare and Review I/O Lis, Instrument List, control schematic drawings, cable schedule and loop drawings
- Create and maintain PLC-related documentation such as logics & functional schematics and sequencing
- Develop control logic and program PLC and high-performance graphical user interface in SCADA based on control philosophy developed for specific project
- Besides developing PLC program, able to provide technical support and troubleshoot applications, perform test on complex programming
- Develop and review test procedures, conduct, and lead Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for both hardware and software packages
- Lead testing & commissioning and as well as troubleshooting of control systems
- Review and evaluate technical submission from vendor related to Instrumentation and control system project.
- Ensure control system compliance as per Cyber Security Act (CSA)
- Interface with other engineering disciplines, client, contractors and vendors
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics or related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience as project engineer or field application engineer
- Experience in HMI/SCADA/PLC system design, software development, configuration, programming, and commissioning of PLCs with field equipment and devices. Work experience on HVAC and chiller system will be preferred.
- Competent in Distributed Control System (DCS)/ PLC systems programming in accordance with IEC61131-3
- Able to understand P&ID and have knowledge of instrumentation and control elements
- Knowledgeable in industrial protocols (such as OPC, ProfiNet, Modbus, HART, BACnet)
- Proficiency in Schneider Control Expert (Previously Unity Pro) is an added advantage
- Possess IT knowledge, be familiar with networking such as switching and routing
- Familiar with Cyber Security (ISA/IEC 62443) and Code of Practice under Cyber Security Act is a plus
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team and managing contractors & vendors
