About Department and Purpose of the Position

The incumbent will provide operational support to Pharmacy, including but not limited to Main Building Pharmacy, Kent Ridge Pharmacy, Medical Centre Pharmacy, KTP-NUCMI Pharmacy and NCIS Pharmacy. The incumbent will support process improvement initiatives, manage procurement of Capital and Operating budget items, harmonise department workflows, streamline processes and provide data analytics support, manage projects and deploy strategies to yield manpower productivity, implement framework or support the IT projects to improve patients experience.

He/She will work closely with the various Pharmacy Section In-Charge to ensure smooth operations and the delivery of Incredible Care to our patients and staff.

He/She will also support the Manager and Assistant Director in projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

You will support Manager and Assistant Director, Allied Health and Pharmacy Ops in:

Clinical Operations

Support the pharmacy in improving patient experience, specially to reduce wait time and their journey in NUH pharmacy.
Provides data analysis to innovate solutions for process improvement (such as identifying the peak and trough to deploy load balancing strategies, studying the dispensing trends and common medications to possibly implement packages from automatic dispensing cabinets, etc.).
Responsible for the procurement of budgeted items, and manage logistical needs for outpatient pharmacies in compliance with the NUHS procurement policy.

Business Development

Work with various Section In-Charge to identify and implement new services.
Review and implement cost recovery measures where possible (Charges for home delivery services).

Business Management

Monitor financial performance and where appropriate, work with Section In-Charge to institute operational approaches on cost recovery and sustain profitability.

Projects

Support assigned projects - Work with Section In-Charge to implement initiatives, ensure project is on track, and escalate issues for resolution as required.
Support Compounding Hub project.
Support and expand RPA initiatives to automate/digitalise manual tasks undertaken by pharmacy staff.

Key Requirements

Good degree in Business, Management or equivalent.
At least 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
A team player who is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
Resourceful and meticulous with strong planning and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to garner support from different levels of stakeholders.
Positive and with a can do spirit.
Ability to adapt in a fast-evolving work environment.
