Job Description
. Foster and manage relationships and communications between users and procurement
. Perform procurement planning with departments
. Provide regular reporting of procurement performance and spend analysis
. Develop and deliver training programmes and procurement clinics for university staff on procurement policies, procedures, and best practices
. Develop a sound supplier network, manage supplier relationships and contracts
. Analyse and identify potential consolidation opportunities under strategic buys to optimise procurement efficiencies
. Provide end-to-end support and guide users on procurement policy, procedures and system
. Perform sourcing for General Goods and Services (GGS) category.
. Administer quotation and tender processes and review procurement documents, ensuring adherence to university policy and procedures.
. Participate in the evaluation of bids and conduct negotiations to ensure value for money, prepare recommendation reports, and facilitate the approval and award of bids in consultation with users
. Perform procurement transactions timely in company's procurement system (i.e. publication, bid download, award, PO creation, goods receipt) to meet service levels
. Point of contact between users and other specialist departments such as Legal and Finance
. Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improvements
. Any other duties assigned by the University and Department
Qualifications
. Minimum Degree in any field
. At least 3 years of procurement experience in the services sector eg: Education, Healthcare, Public Sector, GLCs, Hospitality, etc.
. Good interpersonal, communication and time management skills
. Results oriented with a demonstrated commitment to teamwork
. Experience as a change agent in an organisation
. Familiar with e-procurement and ERP systems
. Proficient in Microsoft Office
