Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced person in Finance and Accounting to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in overseeing project cash flow management and executing comprehensive bookkeeping activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining meticulous financial records, and providing cash flow insights to support project execution and the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires strong leadership abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to financial management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Cash Flow Management

  • Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitor cash flow across multiple projects, ensuring timely identification of funding requirements and effective resource allocation.
  • Forecasting: Prepare detailed cash flow forecasts and reports that offer insights into project financial status, helping to anticipate potential shortfalls and surpluses.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers/analyst to analyze financial performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure project profitability and sustainability.
  • Cash & Bank Management: Work closely with operation to ensure revenue collection on time. Keep track of incoming and outgoing funds from the investors including loans & borrowings.

2. Bookkeeping and Financial Record Keeping

  • Maintaining Records: Ensure the accurate and up-to-date maintenance of financial records, including ledgers, journals, reconciliations and financial statements.
  • Transaction Processing: Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments promptly, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and transparently.

3. Financial Reporting

  • Report Generation: Produce regular and ad-hoc financial reports, including project budgets, variances, and expenditure analyses, to provide stakeholders with a clear view of financial performance.
  • Stakeholder Insights: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing valuable insights to senior management and stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Cost Monitoring: Continuously monitor budget adherence, identifying areas for cost optimization and proposing actionable recommendations to enhance financial efficiency.

4. Statutory Compliance

  • Develop and implement finance processes and controls to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Audit/Tax/Statutory Support: Assist with internal and external stakeholders by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support to auditors, tax agents and company secretary, ensuring a smooth process.

5. Team Collaboration

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and project management, to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of [3 to 4] years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a strong focus on project cash flow management and bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.,Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
