Senior/Executive, Audit & Compliance
Job Purpose
The Senior/ Executive, Audit & Compliance works closely with Control and Station Service Operations to foster safety culture within the STEL Ops group that goes beyond pure compliance.
He/She leads the STEL Ops group safety and health planning and organisation, identifying WSH hazards, evaluating and controlling risks, carrying out WSHE audits and conducting incident investigations and preparing reports to ensure safety & competency within STEL Operations.
Responsibilities
i. Lead the Audit and Compliance team to ensure that STEL Ops Grps operational front-line staff comply with the Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Safety Protocols that govern daily operations.
Establish the work plan, budget, resources, and training requirements for the Audit & Compliance Team.
a. Ensure the operational performance, discipline, and welfare of the Safety Compliance Inspectors (SCIs).
b. Ensure the competency and proficiency of the Safety Compliance Inspectors (SCIs).
ii. Develop, plan, and lead the Safety Compliance Inspectors (SCI) to conduct scheduled Safety & Compliance Inspections and/or Audits for TEL Operations, prepare or review reports and monitor the closure of corrective actions required. Inspections and/or Audits includes but not limited to:
Station Operations Management Audit
a. Track Access Management Audit
b. Emergency preparedness & Incident Management Audit
iii. Facilitate external and corporate-led audits and works with Operations stakeholders to prepare for such audits. Audits includes but not limited to: ISO 9K, 14K, 45K, 55K Audit
iv. Perform collection of data on WSH performance, conditions, and practices in STEL Operations and report to the Ops management.
v. Conduct Operations Document Reviews to ensure currency and accuracy of the Ops Procedures, Work Instructions and Risk Assessments.
vi. Conduct or assist in investigations into safety incident, near misses and lapses (if any) in Operations to determine the causal factors for accident prevention and continuous improvement.
vii. Prepare safety-related lesson learnt materials and disseminate to the relevant STEL Operations staff in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Work Experience:
Preferably a minimum of 5 years of experience in Rail Operations
Academic Qualification:
Degree in any discipline
