We're looking for a Business Office Executive to join our team at the Institute of Mental Health. In this role, you'll help with the daily operations within the Business Office. A solid understanding of healthcare billing systems, insurance processes, and financial management is key.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the business office, including overseeing, billing and deposit monitoring.
- Ensure hospital stays are covered by medisave, insurance or other financial arrangements and help resolve any issues related to coverage.
- Handle patient accounts, ensuring billing is accurate and discrepancies are resolved quickly.
- Keep everything compliant with healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and internal guidelines.
- Work closely with insurance companies, patients, and staff to sort out billing/payment issues.
- Support controls planning, and audit processes for our office.
- Lead and train staff, making sure they're equipped to handle tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Offer excellent customer service, addressing any billing concerns professionally and with care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare business office or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance processes.
- Proficient in medical billing software and office applications (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations.
- Experience in healthcare billing or finance is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in team management.
