Job Description
Oversee the development and production of original narrative content which has been secured (either co-production or external commissions)
Support all production work to secure co-productions or external commissions
Manage, support, and drive production slate for the regional market
Work closely with Studios and team assembled for the project
Work with internal and external teams to develop and pitch ideas to potential partners and clients
Main intermediary between client and our internal creative/production team or 3rd party partners
To control the production budget
Qualifications
Degree Holder preferred, if not a filmmaking discipline, then evidence of film and/or television related academic achievements or training
Preference is given to those with at least 5 years of producing or directing experience, and experience in international productions will be an advantage
Experience across different aspects of TV production, including producing, directing, scripting and camerawork (including sound/light)
Strong editorial & narrative skills strong story telling abilities, keen eye for visual detail and able to provide constructive feedback
Strong presentation & pitching ability to convince a broad array of stakeholders and prospective investors ranging from interns to CEOs to greenlight an idea or partnership
Able to work with a broad array of people from different cultural background ranging from first-time filmmakers to senior executives on million-dollar partnerships
Analytical Comfort with applying insights to better understand our own content and the competitive landscape
Hands on attitude - Must have a working knowledge of working sets, post-production, production budgets and the ability to take on multiple roles where necessary; industry contacts are also an expectation,
A team player with a can-do attitude, efficient & organized, able to meet tight deadlines and work on multiple projects
Passionate, curious, well-read and informed. Always embrace new things and technologies
Effectively bilingual in Chinese and English so as to work with Mandarin speaking associates for Chinese department.
