General Summary:
This position provides support to the Sales Director and team, aiding the theatrical distribution team in presenting products, building relationships with exhibitors, and fostering teamwork.
The role plays a crucial part in contributing to the overall revenue for WBD in a fast-paced environment.
Generate revenue for each release, maximizing each film's potential at the box office to boost WBD's overall revenue. Achieve revenue targets and contribute to the business unit's and WBD's financial success.
Ensure the interests of exhibitors are met to support long-term revenue growth for WBD.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Reporting: Prepare and deliver weekly, weekends, and ad hoc reports to various stakeholders within WBD
Industry Release Tracking: Monitor and update industry release dates. Analyze and update box office data, forecast revenue using WBD systems, and make informed decisions on film distribution strategies
Exhibitor Interaction: Communicate with exhibitors regarding release schedules, format availability, trailers, and collect necessary information for industry tracking and securing distribution opportunities
Forecast Preparation: Prepare forecast presentations and reports on an ad hoc basis for management. Assist in monthly forecast and accrual reports
Title Management: Monitor and update title information in systems, including approval of translations
Screening Management: Organize and manage internal screenings for local and regional offices. Ensure the availability of digital distribution materials for each film, handle logistics for screening contents, and ensure screening equipment is operational. Collaboration with marketing team to prepare digital content for previews, ensuring each event's success
Content Delivery: Working with the Home Office, local vendors, and the cinemas to ensure the timely delivery of theatrical content for all pre-release screenings and the general opening
Terms Negotiation: Compute and assist in negotiating terms with exhibitors for each film.
Censorship Submission: Submit film titles to censorship authorities and consult with them regarding decisions on each submission
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide support and assistance with any ad hoc duties as assigned.
Experience required:
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including PivotTables) and PowerPoint; experience with databases
Communication Skills: Strong proficiency in English
Analytical Skills: Excellent mathematical ability, strong analytical mindset, and self-discipline
Preferred Background: Experience in finance is advantageous
Industry Interest: Genuine interest in the entertainment and film industry
Stress Management: Ability to perform well under pressure
Independence and Teamwork: Capability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being an effective team player.
