Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Group Finance, we are looking for a Senior Group Accountant to join our headquarters in Singapore. The incumbent will have close interaction with various corporate functions at headquarters, the regional finance teams (E.g. U.S, Asia Pacific, EU region) & the group finance team of both shareholders for group report consolidation.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with regional and HQ finance team, support the head of Group Finance to oversee the month-end closing of an operating unit in a global business, including review of work from regional offices and related follow-ups;
Prepare report to management about financial and operational results, as well as appropriate analysis to assist management in assessing performance;
Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly management reporting to both shareholders
Work with FP&A team on the regular updates of corporate financial model
Prepare consolidated accounts according to the financial reporting timeline of both shareholders in the required format
Statutory compliance, including but not limited to financial audits and regulatory reporting, as well as coordination with external consultants in such compliance matters;
Ad hoc projects (e.g. operational process review and fine-tuning, systems enhancement, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or Finance
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
In-depth understanding of Full sets of Accounting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Detailed and process-oriented
Ability to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
A Professional Accounting Qualification e.g. ACCA or equivalent
CFA or experience in developing financial modelling is a plus
Working experience in investment firms are highly preferred
Hands on experience with group consolidation. Experience in managing different year end reporting under joint venture environment is a strong plus
Prior experience of working in a multinational environment
Big 4 experience is preferred
