JOB PURPOSE -
The role holder is responsible to serve as a HR partner to the Principals, Country Director & Management on HR-related issues for International School under GSG in Singapore. The role holder will play a crucial role in promoting a positive work environment and supporting the success of the organization through effective HR practices. The role holder is also responsible for aligning human resource strategies with the goals of the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -
Leadership
- Leads the HR function within the country for all the campuses of the school.
- Supervises, develops, and provides guidance to the HR team for all the campuses.
Functional
- Advises the Principals & Country Director on HR matters in the country for all the campuses of the school.
- Manage all HR aspects - talent attraction and selection, recruitment, onboarding, performance management and rewards, talent management and learning & development, employee engagement, offboarding and regulatory laws of Singapore.
- Oversee all work pass applications, renewals and cancellations are done on time and guide business stakeholders on MOM guidelines and changes from time to time.
- Implements initiatives, action plans, procedures, policies, and processes in the country and ensures alignment with the Group.
- Drives the corporate engagements surveys in the campuses.
- Conducts regular engagement activities in all the campuses.
- Manages the rewards program.
- Manages the performance management process in the campuses and Support the Corporate HR in the organization-wide performance management process.
- Monitors and ensures appraisals are completed in accordance with the timelines.
- Leads the normalization process for the campuses in collaboration with the managers, Principals & Country Director and shares the results with the Management.
- Ensures HR Policies are up to date and in sync with the MOM guidelines.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of country legal requirements relating to the day-to-day management of employees.
- Ensures compliance with statutory matters, such as application for employment passes, renewal of work permits, etc.
- Manages internal & external audits along with key stakeholders by maintaining comprehensive documentation of HR processes, policies, and procedures & ensures compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness within the HR function.
Financial
- Manages operations to hit performance metrics for the HR team in the country.
- Oversee & ensure timely processing of payroll for all employees.
- Work closely with the FC and country director to set employee related budgets at the beginning of each year.
- Ensure adherence to budgets; Undertake necessary actions to ensure compliance to budgets.
Interaction & People Focus
- Works closely with the Recruitment teams and hiring managers, sharing forecasting needs and role requirements.
- Supervises the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of employees in the campuses.
- Work closely with Corporate HR team on various strategic projects.
- Works closely with the Training team, encouraging employees on various trainings and identifying training needs in the country.
- Addresses complex employee queries relating to HR.
- Maintains networks and relationships with internal and external partners at the working level to keep abreast of the current industry climate and macroeconomic trends.
- Collaborates proactively with Recruitment team to continuously increase competency within teams to meet future organisations needs through the development and recruitment of talent.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent; Preferable Postgraduate/MBA in Human Resource Management
Experience
- 12-15 years of experience in HR with at least 5-7 years of HR experience handling an HRBP role within Singapore, preferably in the education industry.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast-paced and diverse environment
