Role Overview
The IT Senior Infra Engineer is part of the Global Infrastructure and Operations Teams to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure services globally. The role is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's on-premises IT infrastructure, including domain controllers, Office 365, Virtualization, storage & backup and cloud support. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills and project management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Windows Server Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments.
- Manage server roles and features such as AD, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
- Implement and enforce Group Policies.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues.
Office 365 Administration:
- Administer and support Office 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Manage user accounts, licenses, and mailboxes.
- Ensure data security and compliance within the Office 365 environment.
VMware Administration:
- Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments.
- Perform regular backups, updates, and patch management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization issues.
Storage and backup
- Implement, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and DAS.
- Implement and maintain data replication and disaster recovery solutions.
- Monitor storage performance and capacity, and optimize as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with data retention policies and regulations.
Azure cloud management
- Develop and implement scalable, reliable, and secure Azure solutions that align with business needs.
- Monitor and maintain Azure infrastructure ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Perform daily health check on Azure resources.
- Ensure proper documentation of Azure configurations and procedures.
Project Management:
- Manage IT infrastructure projects from planning to execution.
- Deliver project scope, and deliverables as per agreed schedule.
- Proactively coordinate and communicate with stakeholders and team members.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT infrastructure and processes.
- Prepare regular reports on IT infrastructure availability, performance and project status.
Requirements
Experience and Skillsets
- 5+ years hand-on of experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Professional certifications e.g. VCP, ITIL, Microsoft Certified such as Window Server Administration, Azure Administrator Associate are highly desirable.
- Strong technical expertise in Azure.
- Technical expertise in Domain Controller, Office 365, VMware, Netapp storage, Veeam backup.
- Experience in Linux environment is a plus.
- Ability to express thoughts and complex IT solution clearly and in a simplified manner.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
