About
The Global Legal Investigations (GLI) team at TikTok is dedicated to the critical imperative of building, earning, and maintaining trust with our stakeholders worldwide. Our focus is on effective intake, assessment, investigation, and resolution of business conduct compliance concerns. Working in close collaboration with our Global Legal Compliance (GLC) team and cross-functional partners, we ensure TikTok's adherence to legal and ethical standards on a global scale.
About the team
We are seeking an experienced investigator to join our GLI team, contributing expertise to manage complex and sensitive investigations involving TikTok's products, services, and employees. In this dynamic role, you will operate in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment where your analytical, organizational, and investigative skills will be pivotal in addressing some of the most intricate business conduct compliance issues within the technology sector.
Responsibilities
a. Investigations: Conduct thorough and objective investigations into potential legal and ethical violations within the company, collaborating across borders and jurisdictions as necessary.
b. Risk Assessment: Identify, analyze, and evaluate potential fraud and compliance risks, providing recommendations to leadership for risk mitigation and improvement of internal controls.
c. Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams, including legal, human resources, internal audit, and other internal/external stakeholders, to gather information, coordinate efforts, and ensure consistent and effective investigations.
d. Documentation: Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive factual reports documenting investigations, findings, and recommendations for corrective actions.
e. Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of legal and compliance issues, fostering a culture of ethics and integrity throughout the company.
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
- Experience in technology or fast-paced industries, exposure to global teams/MNCs, and white-collar crime law enforcement experience is advantageous.
- 5+ years of investigation experience.
- Proven ability to independently make complex investigation decisions, meet - tight deadlines, and work autonomously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for risk identification and effective solutions.
- High moral and ethical standards with a commitment to professional and impartial investigations.
- Meticulous attention to detail in investigation processes and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness to travel for investigative assignments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Certified Fraud Examiner is a plus.
