DESIGNATION : Senior/Journalist, CNA Digital (Contract)
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking an experienced journalist to develop and deliver stories about Singapore for the online platform of CNA
Responsibilities :
Report on Singapore news events, delivering articles ranging from straightforward coverage to in-depth analytical features.
Deliver a steady stream of stories, including long-form features, exclusives and interviews.
Seek and analyse news leads and tips.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements :
A Degree in Mass Communication, Arts and Social Sciences or related areas.
Be a motivated self-starter.
At least 3 years of journalism experience, preferably for an online news platform
Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
A proven track record of delivering articles which showcase strong journalism skills, such as exclusives, in-depth analyses or brilliantly written features.
An outstanding grasp of current issues and news both locally and globally.
An extensive network of contacts.
Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
Be prepared to work irregular hours and weekends.
Experience of court reporting would be an advantage
Note: The duration of this position would be one year, with an initial 6-month contract extendable for an additional 6 months.
