Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division is seeking a Senior Manager Accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the processes, payroll function and activities of the Finance Division and being ultimately responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting,forecasting, payroll and financial assessments required of the Financial Division of ALI ANZ(Australia and New Zealand).

Responsibilities

Finance Function

  • Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly
  • recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation
  • Coordinate general administrative, accounting, and financial duties with the members of the
  • Finance Division to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate, financial, and accounting policies and reporting deadlines.
  • Ensure statutory and timely reporting to all government bodies and statutory boards.
  • Complete the annual budget and monthly forecasts for ALI ANZ.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian legislation and Hexagon company policies and accurate and timely preparation and submission of yearly statutory group audit and group tax reporting (ALI & SIG).
  • Management and preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
  • Monitor and review internal controls and processes to drive continuous improvements including working with other departments within the organization in joint efforts to improve systems and processes.
  • Provide advice, assistance, and support to senior management and other employees on a variety of financial and accounting matters.
  • Prepare revenue recognition assessment for multiple element contracts, review major contract with regards to financial terms and conditions
  • Oversee and coordinate the completion of any other financial, accounting, or administrative duties as reasonably required by RHQ or senior management.

Payroll Function

  • Process monthly payroll of 100+ employee with the assistant of a payroll provider, ensuring
  • payroll is processed on time and accurately.
  • Management and preparation of FBT submissions
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure alignment & accuracy with payroll matters.
  • Prepare monthly accrual/reconciliation for leave (annual leave, long service leave etc),
  • commission and variable bonus
  • Management and preparation of payroll tax

Projects

  • Any ad-hoc assignments and projects

Essential

Education / Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Financial Accounting, Financial Management or Senior Accounting position, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience managing a team of Finance or Accounting professionals and acting as a finance lead within a corporate executive team.
  • Strong accounting background with experience in a range of different financial and accounting functions.
  • Proven experience at being able to coordinate a team of professionals to consistently meet deadlines and ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Deadline-driven with a track record of planning, organizing and prioritizing.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of ERP and Onestream
  • Payroll experience

  • Ability to work within a peer group of executive managers, and to contribute and influence
  • decisions made by the executive team.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when dealing with complicated data.
  • Ability to present complicated data and financial reporting in a logical and understandable manner.
  • Effective time management and organization skills
