Role Summary
The Senior Manager/Associate Director, Compliance, will play a key role in supporting the APAC Compliance team by leading compliance investigations and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards across the SEA region, which includes Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Hong Kong. This role requires an individual who brings a proactive and meticulous approach to compliance matters, working closely with the global legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Investigations: Lead and conduct thorough investigations into compliance matters, ensuring all processes adhere to internal policies and industry regulations.
- Regional Compliance Oversight: Act as the key compliance point of contact for SEA countries, staying current with local regulations and ensuring consistent application across each market.
- Policy Implementation: Collaborate with the APAC Compliance Head to implement and enforce compliance policies, monitoring adherence to corporate standards across the region.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Global Legal, to provide guidance on compliance issues and assist in risk mitigation strategies.
- Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver compliance training programs, reinforcing the company's commitment to ethical practices and regulatory adherence.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and analyze compliance metrics to identify trends, flagging potential areas of concern and recommending preventive measures.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years in compliance roles, ideally within the medical device industry, with experience covering multiple SEA markets.
- Compliance Expertise in SEA: Strong familiarity with the regulatory environment for medical devices across SEA
- Attention to Detail & Accountability: A meticulous, thorough approach with a strong sense of responsibility to uphold compliance standards, ensuring thorough and accurate investigations.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to assess compliance risks and recommend practical, effective solutions.
- Collaboration with Legal: Ability to work effectively with the global legal team, translating complex compliance issues into actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
- Attitude & Soft Skills: A proactive, solutions-focused individual with a responsible attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail capable of navigating diverse regulatory environments with tact and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Compliance, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Medical Device Industry Focus: Direct experience within the medical device sector, with a robust understanding of device-specific regulations and standards
