As part of the CISO Office, you will be responsible for driving the strategic and operational execution of cybersecurity initiatives across the organisation. This role involves working closely with business units and stakeholders to safeguard digital assets, manage cybersecurity vendors, and develop plans to mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies.
Responsibilities we will trust you with:
- Develop, implement, and oversee cybersecurity operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and resource allocation.
- Manage relationships with cybersecurity vendors, MSSPs, and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and risk mitigation.
- Lead assessments and responses to cyber threats and incidents, providing expert advice on mitigation and remediation efforts.
- Conduct risk assessments, manage audits, and ensure compliance with internal and external cybersecurity policies and standards.
- Oversee data security programs, analyse cybersecurity data, and report insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
- Establish cybersecurity policies, conduct training programs, and lead tabletop exercises to enhance cyber resilience across the organization.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with IT risk assessment, technology audits, or enterprise IT security, including exposure to cybersecurity and cloud security services (e.g. AWS, Azure).
- In-depth knowledge of security standards and cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO27001, CSA Security-by-Design, Personal Data Protection Act, and IM8.
- Practical experience with security tools such as SIEM and SOAR is highly advantageous.
- Dedicated team player who thrives in collaborative environments, with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity technologies and standards.
