SCOPE
The Senior Manager, Head of Global Ocean Tender Pricing, will oversee the pricing strategy for ocean freight tenders, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing models while maximizing the market position of DSV. The role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing market trends, and developing pricing strategies that meet the needs of our clients and align with our business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement global pricing strategies for ocean tenders to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify pricing trends, competitor strategies, and client requirements.
- Manage annual RFQ planning and strategy setting, ensuring alignment with the overall commercial strategy and business objectives.
- Prioritize RFQ responses and pricing strategies based on commercial strategy and market dynamics.
- Collaborate with the commercial organization to support bid processes and ensure won contracts are aligned with pricing guidelines.
- Provide vertical support to ensure pricing consistency and optimization across various market segments.
- Explore and implement automation solutions to enhance pricing processes and improve efficiency.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing insights and strategic recommendations based on pricing structures.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to evaluate pricing effectiveness and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Manage a multinational team of pricing individuals and improve collaboration between regional product teams.
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve processes and systems related to pricing and tender management.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, or a related field MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing management or a related role within the logistics or transportation sector.
- Proven track record in ocean freight pricing, tender management, or a similar capacity.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Familiarity with pricing software and tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of global shipping regulations and market dynamics is preferred.
