Prudential plc unveiled a new strategy in August 2023 Next Prudential. It is centered around three strategic pillars: 1) enhancing customer experiences 2) powering distribution with technology and 3) transforming the health business model. As part of the strategy, Prudential recently appointed Arjan Toor as CEO, Health to lead the growth and transformation of the Health business. While this business has historically been run as product line, the Group is redesigning the operating model as full P&L to accelerate growth. This new operating model includes building out an experienced central Health Team, as well as the creation of dedicated and ringfenced Health teams in each of the priority health markets. The role of the central Health Team is to set the health strategy for Prudential as a whole and ensure alignment of the local business unit health strategies to this Group strategy.
