About the Role
This role seeks to develop and execute strategic initiatives to engage corporates and government agencies in order to enhance IPI's service offerings to a wider target audience and contribute to achieving IPI's objectives. This is achieved by developing new initiatives to engage a wider pool of companies and selected strategic partners, to create opportunities for SMEs and startup companies to collaboratively address bigger challenges faced by corporates, industries and government agencies. This role involves conceptualising, designing and executing initiatives, engaging key decision-makers, conduct outreach and marketing to promote such initiatives, create channels to deliver the Corporate Open Innovation Programme, and developing a global network of solution providers.

Responsibilities
1. Engagement of corporates, local large enterprises and local government agencies (collectively organisations)
- Develop and execute plans to engage organisations across different sectors to support their open innovation journey.
- Assess and identify gaps that IPI's Open Innovation Programme can address.
- Identify the key stakeholders and champions from various organisations and build good relationships.
- Identify the relevant business units that own the problem statement and/or technology and ensure their buy-in to the Programme.
- Convince and onboard organisations onto IPI's Open Innovation Programme.
2. Lead and manage Open Innovation Programme(s)
- Lead and manage Open Innovation Programs to contribute to IPI's strategic goals and targets.
- Regularly track, assess, and report on the progress and outcomes of ongoing initiatives.
- Project manages Open Innovation Programme(s) to ensure timely delivery of desired outcomes.
- Foster and strengthen relationships with corporate and government contacts.
- Guide and motivate project teams to ensure the successful completion of goals within set timelines.
3. Develop and drive initiatives and programmes to anchor IPI's role as a credible OI facilitator
- Design and implement unique programs that set IPI apart from other innovation facilitators.
- Enhance existing initiatives and develop new ones that complement current offerings.
- Identify new opportunities with corporates, local large enterprises and government agencies to offer Open Innovation services.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing and engagement plans to attract local and international corporates.
- Conceptualise and execute business models and balance revenue generation with IPI's achievements/targets.
- Regularly review, study and measure up against other similar programmes/services by organisations operating OI programmes, and ensure IPI's OI programme's key differentiating factors remain relevant and competitive.
Job Requirements
1. Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in business development or international relations.
- Strong business acumen and business development skills with client-facing experience, preferably in technical fields.
2. Academic Background
- Bachelor or Masters in any field, preferably in general science and engineering, with the ability to appreciate and understand technology.
