We are looking for a
Senior Manager / Manager - Tax Technology, Governance, and Transformation to lead the deployment of tax technology solutions with a focus on compliance and governance. In this role, you will work with clients to enhance their tax processes, ensuring that technology solutions align with governance frameworks and regulatory standards. You will also oversee key projects, guiding a team and collaborating with stakeholders to drive improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage the delivery of tax technology and governance projects, ensuring they meet regulatory standards, timelines, and budgets. Lead project teams and coordinate with stakeholders to achieve client objectives.
- Implement governance frameworks to support compliance and technical accuracy within all tax technology projects, with a focus on mitigating risk.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding clients tax compliance and reporting needs, and providing tailored technology solutions to support compliance and performance.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of tax technology solutions (e.g., ERP systems, automated and data driven solutions) to enhance governance, compliance, and efficiency.
- Ensure all technology solutions align with current tax regulations and best practices. Monitor regulatory changes to adjust strategies and recommend tax regulatory-focused improvements.
- Identify areas to streamline tax processes through technology, implementing improvements that ensure data accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the tax technology and governance practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CTA, CISA) are a plus.
- 6-10 years of experience in tax, finance, or technology transformation, with a focus on tax technology and compliance. Previous experience in a consulting or managed services environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with tax technology platforms (e.g., Vertex, OneSource, Alteryx, ERP systems) and a solid understanding of tax governance and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders, balancing client needs, resources, and budgets effectively.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex tax data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience leading teams and providing mentorship, fostering a positive work environment focused on learning and compliance.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on client service, governance, and continuous improvement.
