As a Senior Digital Specialist for this high-profile client, you will be tasked with digital strategy, planning and execution as well as driving forward digital best practice and innovation.

In this role, you will demonstrate proficient media and digital skills, continue to build on more advanced knowledge and will be encouraged to supervise and train more junior team members.

As a Senior Digital Specialist, you operate at the very heart of the business and are critical to its market perception across the digital landscape. The digital community in PHD is therefore tasked with creating a recognized market-leading position in digital implementation / executional management and client servicing.

Reporting Structure:

  • You report directly to the Digital Manager although on a day-to- day basis you will report the Digital Director within your client group.
  • You are expected to manage your own workload as well as any specialist delivery services that are being deployed in your business.

The role encompasses:

  • The creation of digital media plans.
  • Execution of the digital media plans with quality control of the campaigns.
  • Ensuring all digital media goals and strategies are delivered and executed within budgets.
  • Creating of reports that contain valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Building strong relationships with media vendors and co-create custom, client centric digital solutions.
  • Be an active participant of the PHD digital community.
  • Identification and management of innovative digital media initiatives.
  • Consult on digital best practises across the account.

Key Responsibilities:

Client relationship management

  • Consult on digital strategy and planning.
  • Ensure quality of digital media utilising your digital expertise.
  • Principal client contact from the planning of the campaign to reporting for selected campaigns

Origination of the Digital media Plan

  • Work with the planning team and client to create clear and coherent plans.
  • In-depth assessment of digital media options and provide detailed recommendations of proposed communication solutions.
  • Assess, identify, and recommend innovative digital media initiatives that deliver greater strategy depth and impact to the digital media plan.
  • Conduct research to best understand how to address the provided media brief.
  • Provide clear and measurable KPIs that are relevant to the media brief.
  • Fill out tagging templates for measurement of your campaigns.

Performance/Digital Marketing Execution

  • Lead the execution of the campaigns that you have planned.
  • Showcase an expertise in SEM, Social Media Advertising, and Programmatic Advertising
  • Training is provided to help grow your expertise.
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly optimization implemented campaigns.

Reporting

  • Provide detailed summary of the campaign performance.
  • Create detailed recommendations to be implemented in future campaigns.
  • Report your findings to the necessary internal/client stakeholders.
  • Timely delivery and upkeep of all relevant reporting systems and templates (digital media plans, campaign reports, client queries, etc.).

Finance communication

  • Manage all internal finance work related to your campaigns.
  • Ensure digital media proformas are checked correctly and returned them to Finance within the agreed timeframe.

Required Skills:

  • 2-4 years of relevant media experience, able to demonstrate clear understanding of the digital media ecosystem
  • Platform and activation experience with Campaign Manager, Google Ads, SA360, Facebook Ads and Programmatic DSP's (like DV360, Trade Desk, etc)
  • Methodical and demonstrates attention to detail
  • Planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Strong mathematical skills and excellent literacy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence to interact over the phone and in person
  • Ability to explain complex terminology clearly
  • Takes ownership for behaviour and integrity of work
  • Proactivity and problem-solving attitude
  • A Can Do attitude, Inquisitive nature driving you to ask why
  • Confident in high pressure situations
