Senior Microbiologist (Environmental Genomics)
In this role, you will:
Submit project proposal and lead research project
Design experiment, collect and analyse data, maintain accurate records, as well as management of resources for projects relating to biosensors for detection of pathogens in the environment and mitigation of biothreat from the environment
Handling of pathogens cultures, in compliance with biosafety and biosecurity policies
Isolation of pathogens from samples of veterinary and environmental origins
Ability to work in high containment facilities
Prepare reports and presentation for analysis results and research findings
Requirements
PhD in Molecular Microbiology or related (essential)
Minimal 3 years of experience in the field of infectious diseases and molecular microbiology (essential)
Experience in leading research projects in molecular microbiology and/or infectious diseases
Skilled in bacterial and viral cultures and molecular techniques
Good communication skills
Ability to prepare technical reports and presentations
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills
Excellent laboratory skills and meticulous
Willingness to keep up-to-date with current information and research
Work well both independently and as a team
