Senior/Middle Office Associate
Our client, a global fund management firm is looking to fill the role of Senior/Middle Office Associate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely trade capture, confirmation, and allocation for multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, etc.).
- Perform daily cash and position reconciliations between internal records, custodians, brokers, and prime brokers to maintain data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Support daily pricing and valuation of portfolios, ensuring accurate reflection of market values in portfolio systems.
- Track and process corporate actions, dividends, and other income events, coordinating with custodians and counterparties to ensure accurate reflection in accounts.
- Perform daily Profit & Loss (P&L) calculations and attribution for portfolios, providing insights into portfolio performance to portfolio managers.
- Work with compliance and risk teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, including monitoring trading limits and guidelines.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and work with IT and other stakeholders to implement technology-driven solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of middle office, trade support, or operations experience within asset management, fund administration, or investment banking.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with portfolio management systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Charles River, or Aladdin). Familiarity with VBA, SQL, or Python is a plus.
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, financial instruments, and capital markets, with knowledge of derivatives being an advantage.
