Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The Network Engineer serves as a critical role to maintain and operate SIM's Campus network services covering end user computing, infrastructure, services, cybersecurity and critical applications such as ERP, IPAM, etc. This role will be placed on a flexible schedule, including night and weekend employment.
Accountabilities:
Manage the IT Services at SIM to meet the SLAs and expectations of all SIM Stakeholders including SUSS.
Understand, plan, design and execute the enhancements or expansion of IT Services to the growth and change in direction of SIM businesses. Examples: 1) Implement Network and network security products, platforms, software, hardware or appliance-based solutions. 2.) Unify networking with better control. Including LAN, WIFI, 5G, IOT, DNS, DHCP etc.
Understand, plan, design and execute enhancements and maintenance of DAY1 and DAY2 Network Infrastructure to ensure reliability, security and service levels are met.
Maintain network security across the enterprise's global infrastructure deployments analyse network security threats. Monitors organization's network for security vulnerabilities and investigates occurrences of violations.
Develop new skills within IT Services by working with the people to ensure new technology/approaches are implemented to force the pivoting of skills.
Requirements:
Academic Education and Work Experience
Familiar with open source and other tools for monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
Professional Education/License (if any)
CCNA/CCNP Networking/Cloud/network security Certificate
HCIA/HCIP Networking/Cloud/network security Certificate
Fortinet Certified Associate FCA/FCP Certified
