Job Description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a full spectrum of shipping operations and documentation.
• Handle shipment and able to coordinate with suppliers, buyers, ship-brokers, ship owners and agents, surveyors, insurance companies, inter offices etc, to ensure smooth loading and discharging operations.
• Handle full set of shipping documents including liaison with banks on letters of credit, negotiations and collection of documentation.
• Accounting - posting of receivable and payable and control of procurement account.
• Able to handle full operations support to trader once business is concluded.
• Supervise and delegate work to junior staff.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree holder
• Minimum 4 years working experience, preferably from Agri or commodities dry bulk company
• Knowledge of UCP 600, Gafta, Incoterms, Gencon charter party, accounting, laytime calculations and CMA
• Fluent in English & Mandarin (to communicate with counterpart in China)
• Understands the nature of work required in the commodities space
• Remaining composed and maintaining focus while working with clients, colleagues, and immediate supervisors in high-pressure situations.
