Our client is a major licensed digital securities exchange for alternative investments. The Senior Operations Manager will oversee cross-functional projects and initiatives, as well as daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage operational processes for custody and trade settlement in Singapore and Malaysia
- Lead and drive key projects and initiatives
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across various functions, including technology and compliance
- Supervise daily trade processing and ensure timely settlement of trades (Equity, Fixed Income, etc.), including Corporate Actions and product life cycle management
- Handle post-trade settlement tasks, ensuring clear communication of instructions, updating clients, and resolving trade issues
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and deliver effective service to clients
- Coordinate with counterparties and custodians to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure smooth settlement processes
- Lead and manage a regional team, promoting collaboration and strong leadership
Key Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in securities, banking, or a related field
- Experience in a fintech or startup environment is a plus, as this role involves ambiguity and broad responsibilities
- Solid knowledge of securities operations, custody, and settlement processes
- Understanding of financial products, regulatory requirements, and global market operations
- Experience driving initiatives and managing change
- Strong client service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and collaborate
