Job Scope
The Patient Service Officer will help manage front desk functions to provide excellence customer service and care to patients and their family in the process from admission to discharge at the hospital.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for registration of patients for inpatient admissions and day surgery and provide financial counselling on estimated bill sizes
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation required for patient admissions/registrations
- Ensure collection of deposits and bill payments
- Liaise with patient / payers for outstanding payments
- Coordinate with respective departments and doctors for the submission of required information and documents to generate billing
- To undertake any other ad hoc projects or duties as assigned
Requirements
- Recognised Diploma in any discipline or equivalent and/or 1-2 years of relevant experience in healthcare industry preferred. Appointment will commensurate with experience.
- Familiar with basic medical terminology
- Good command of English
- Customer-oriented with a pleasant disposition and excellent interpersonal skills
- Computer literate and able to work with numbers
- Open to shift work arrangements including weekends and PH
