The Role & Responsibilities:
GaiGai is seeking an experienced People and Culture professional to join our offline dating team! Here are the key responsibilities expected of this role:
Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's business objectives
Collaborate with leadership to understand future staffing needs and develop plans for talent acquisition and retention
Stay abreast of labor laws, regulations, and cultural nuances in each country to ensure compliance with local employment practices
Develop and maintain knowledge of international HR standards and best practices
Oversee the recruitment process for positions across various countries
Work with local HR teams to ensure consistent and effective recruitment practices
Develop and maintain relationships with international recruitment agencies
Address employee relations issues, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and consistent manner
Promote a positive and inclusive work culture across diverse teams
Implement communication strategies to foster employee engagement and satisfaction
Manage international compensation and benefits program
Ensure competitive and fair pay structures across different regions
Monitor and analyze market trends to make recommendations for adjustments to compensation and benefits packages
Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews and feedback
Work with managers to identify training and development needs for employees
Facilitate international assignments and relocations, including visa processes and cultural assimilation
Develop and update HR policies and procedures that comply with local regulations while aligning with global standards
Ensure consistent implementation and adherence to HR policies across all geographical locations
Identify training needs and coordinate training programs for employees at various levels
Collaborate with regional HR teams to provide consistent and effective training initiatives
Implement and maintain HR information systems to streamline HR processes
Ensure data integrity and compliance with data protection regulations
Support organizational change initiatives and ensure effective communication to employees
Help manage transitions during mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring
Implement programs to support employee well-being, including mental health initiatives
Utilize HR analytics to assess key HR metrics and provide insights for decision making
Generate regular reports for leadership on HR-related activities and performance
Full hands-on experiences in processing monthly payroll and tax function, regular reporting on a group level and audit for Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong Teams. Experience with Taiwan will be an added bonus.
Comprehensive office administration including IT assets management, liaising with the respective vendors for cleaning, aircon, water dispenser, etc. for Singapore
Any other ad-hoc projects or tasks that may be assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or any relevant field
Master's degree or MBA will be a bonus
Possession of relevant professional certifications such
- HRCI (Human Resources Certificate Institute): PHR/SPHR (Senior/ Professional in Human Resources)
- SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) - SHRM-CP/SCP (Senior / Certified Professional)
Experiences in handling employees and managers across Asian markets
Strong strategic thinking and planning skills to align HR initiatives with overall business goals
Experience in contributing to organizational development and change management initiatives
In-depth knowledge of Singapore's employment laws and regulations
Proven ability to manage employee's relations, conflict resolution, and other HR-related legal matters
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees, management and external stakeholders
Leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and lead a team
Expertise in talent acquisition strategies, including recruitment and onboarding processes
Experience in developing and implementing training and development programs
Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and other HR-related technologies
Ability to leverage technology for efficient HR process and data analytics
Active participation in HR-related networks, forums or industry associations
Continued professional development and staying updated on HR trends and best practices
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin in order to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders
8-10 years or more of relevant experiences, progressing through various HR roles
Experience in managerial or leadership positions within HR, demonstrating the ability to handle strategic responsibilities
Others:
This role is open to candidates who may be based in Singapore or Malaysia. Occasional business travel may be required across the regions.
