Job Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with operations and planning team to optimize cargo storage arrangements and conduct ground enforcement to ensure stored cargoes comply with JP requirements and all storage infrastructure are serviceable.
The Duties Includes
- Prepare daily shift duties report (Day & Night). Perform physical measurement of the storage area occupied by cargoes after completion of vessel operations follow by updating the storage space utilization rate in SMART system.
- Attend and resolve onsite cargo storage (warehouse and open storage yard) matters in a timely manner.
- Review, process and approve applications submitted by Port users, namely Use of Space Application and Overnight Parking Application.
- Conduct daily spot checks on containers lying at storage yard are duly declared in JPOM.
- Manage DG yard inspection and approval of PM4 in consultation with WSH team. Conduct DG storage yard check, update DG containers storage start and end date/time on DG Storage Application form for Commercial to raise manual storage charges. Monitoring of Reefer Point Application.
- Detect and report property damages (Warehouse & Open yard) to manager.
- Attend to fire safety check in conjunction with WSH personnel as and when required by WSH, e.g. warehouse's passageway & exit doors are clear for emergency usage.
- Contribute towards ad-hoc assignments, e.g. consolidation of cargoes to an isolated location due to space constraints, urge transporter to reposition trailer to dedicated locations.
Requirements
- A Level or Diploma in Supply Chain/ Logistics/Maritime industries
- 2 to 3years experience in shipping or logistics industry with hands-on storage planning and operations experience,
- Able to adapt in a fluid and challenging environment
- Able to perform 12-hour shift work
- Class 3 driving license
- Computer literate
- Good team player, and communication skill
