Our client is a leader in Marine Industry. They are looking for dynamic individuals to join them as an Assistant Procurement Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support internal stakeholders for all daily purchase request requirement and ensure purchase orders are issued timely to meet fleet operational demand;
- Provide timely advice to users when required and ensures procurement activities are conducted in an efficient manner with compliance to procedures;
- Participate proactively in project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an effective procurement plan with early intervention when necessary;
- Drive procurement program on savings, risks mitigation and monitor supplier performance;
- Prepare tender documents adhering to company's procurement policy and submit award paper for approval in accordance with delegation of authority;
- Manage pre and post contracts to ensure agreements are in place for all critical suppliers including on-time commencement of negotiation for contract renewal;
- Build supplier relationship management with engagement for performance reporting and win-win collaboration;
- Be part of a team on the development and implementation on green procurement, innovation and automation project
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum diploma in Business Administration / Engineering Studies / Supply Chain & Procurement Management, or equivalent;
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a procurement role, procuring technical spares and services for marine or offshore;
- A good understanding of overall supply chain and procurement support for harbour craft and sea-going vessel will be an added advantage;
- Ability to perform data analysis for decision making;
- Resourceful, self-motivated, meticulous, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent communicator and people skills that can interact with internal and external stakeholders from all levels;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP system; and
- Knowledge on public tender, environmental, social, governance (ESG), Robotic process automation (RPA) and Power BI will be a plus
