This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a highly skilled team creating video content for Reuters news agency clients and for our own digital and social platforms. You will be dealing with breaking news, delivering in-depth coverage of major global events, and working closely with our text and visuals newsgathering teams across the world. You will have considerable experience as a video journalist, editor, and global newsroom leader. In this role you will be based and directly manage staff in Singapore, along with colleagues in other locations in Asia. You will be a senior member of the global packaged video leadership team with responsibility for the editorial, ethical and legal integrity of our output.
About the Role
As Senior Producer, Reuters Packaged Video, you will:
Direct and supervise producers to edit and deliver video content
Sub edit scripts and check completed videos
Have a keen eye for visual storytelling
Develop story and content ideas to suit digital platforms
Ensure the work of the team is accurate, timely and impartial
Be a senior member of the global packaged video production team
About You
As Senior Producer, Reuters Packaged Video, you should possess:
Experience of managing staff in a digital newsroom or video production unit
A good working knowledge of CMS, editing and graphics systems
A passion for telling news and personal stories
A clear understanding of the different styles of digital and social platforms
Excellent written and spoken English
The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
A track record of being a team player
