Responsible for leading and managing a large-scale grant-funded programme across various IHL/RI. collaborators and industry partnerships (.Institute of Higher Learning / Research Institute)
Programme manager will be leading the programme proposal to secure funding and coordinate cross-project activities to accomplish strategic objectives by overseeing multiple project activities across various research institutes
Organise and lead programme reviews with/across funding agencies, strategic oversight committee and senior management
Build confidence within internal management and external stakeholders with regular programme reporting and establishing clear communication channels
Manage a small team of project managers to ensure successful delivery of projects scope and targets via managing project risks, quality, delivery, scope, schedule, and budget.
Oversight of the full life cycle of R&D projects and its product delivery planning, organizing, executing and evaluating from conception to completion.
Manage and implement project/programme changes and interventions to achieve project deliverables and mitigate risk.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor or Masters in any engineering / project management related discipline
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in product development or research project would be preferable
PMP certifications or equivalent will be advantageous
Good level of understanding of technical/engineering processes in order to work effectively with project managers and teams throughout the project development cycle.
Strong business acumen, driven to deliver customer requirements and project deadlines
Outstanding programme/project management capabilities i.e. planning, risk management, status reporting, budget tracking, benefits analysis, stakeholder management, resource management
Proven track record of executing multiple successful programmes/projects
A leader-cum-team player technically motivated to solve problems, innovate and deliver to internal and external customers
Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
